Feminist Internship Opportunity
Holy Women Icons Project Internship:
Goddess of Social Media and Marketing
Who We Are:
The Holy Women Icons Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit seeking to empower marginalized women by telling the stories of revolutionary holy women through art, writing, and special events.
What We Need:
An intern Goddess of Social Media and Marketing (title negotiable) capable of managing social media and marketing for our new non-profit for 3-8 hrs/wk.
Our Executive and Administrative Directors are Gen X Ph.D. artists without social media or marketing savvy; we need someone to grow the Holy Women Icons Project’s social network on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Patreon, Fine Art America, Pixels, Amazon, and other media outlets, thus expanding our marketing possibilities. Expanding our social networks and marketing is the first goal so that we can increase art, book, and online retreat sales, in addition to securing more donors. The second goal is teaching us how to maintain this growth.
Deep understanding of social media and marketing
Commitment to intersectional ecofeminism
Basic understanding of non-profits
At least 18 years old
As a fledgling non-profit, we currently have no budget for marketing, so this an unpaid internship. However, we are committed to fair compensation via alternative economies, which can include access to free online retreats, mentorship, outstanding recommendation letters, educational and practical guidance within the world of intersectional ecofeminism, a free place to stay on Hawai’i Island for a week, and, of course, resume building.
We’re in Kea’au, Hawai’i, but you can be anywhere.
How to Apply:
Send a cover letter, which includes a pitch for how you would expand our social media networks and marketing.
Please be certain to thoroughly search our current website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Patreon, Fine Art America, Pixels, and Amazon in order to get a full picture of who we are and what our marketing needs may be.
Send applications to firstname.lastname@example.org by February 15, 2018.
